Toronto’s opportunities to work in beauty and hospitality were a perfect draw for me having grown up in a small town and I made the move at my first opportunity.
My passion for all things hairstyling began as a teenager, when I used to colour my friends' hair in the basement of my parent’s house using aluminum foil and box colour and dreaming of one day having my very own hair salon.
After graduating from the Aveda Institute in 2008, and the Aveda Academy in 2009, I began working for Civello Salon and Spa in Rosedale, Toronto. I quickly excelled as a colourist, building connections with my clients and caring for each of their unique wishes. Having a special bond with the ladies who sat in my chair eventually allowed me the privilege of styling many of them on their wedding day.
I later ventured into hospitality, participating in the opening of the first Chase Hospitality Group restaurant during five consecutive concept openings.
Through these experiences, I have truly learned what it takes to create a dynamic and personalized experience for each of my clients. From understanding the flow of service, to noticing the nuances of my guests’ needs, working in this field has made me more confident and well - rounded in my craft.
I now focus my talents on event and bridal hair styling, working to bring the dreams of my brides and clients to life on their special day!
